In 2001, a group formed of Cultural Heritage Organization, Royal Ontario museum of Canada and university of Michigan went to Kerman for researching about remains of Safavids , there. It was the first group attempts in order to do the project in Historical city of Kerman. This project that aimed to protect the remains from rapid destruction of historical remains in Kerman, covers a wide spectrum of cultural cases in Kerman. My own interest is industry of pottery in Kerman which is hoped to be placed in history of the city. In order to do this important case, the group member gathered the pottery pieces from 15 enclosures inside the city and farther regions such as Zarand and Mahan. ( picture.5 &17) In order to find the place of these findings in a visual background, it is necessary to review the data about Kerman which were gathered in Safavid pottery project.
